Collection scheme for hazardous waste

The municipality of Stavanger is offering the residents a kerbside collection scheme for hazardous waste.

Examples of hazardous waste collected:

  • Chemicals (small quantities)
  • White-spirit, turpentine, methylated ethanol, paraffin
  • Paint, glue
  • Pesticides
  • Oil
  • Oil filter
  • Spray cans
  • Batteries
  • Cables and wires

Examples of EE waste collected:

  • Cellular phone
  • Electric shaver
  • Electric toothbrush
  • Smoke detectors
  • Children’s shoes with lights

Hazardous waste should be kept in the original container. If another container is used, please mark contents clearly. The volume we can collect is limited by the size of the red container.

Make you order at hentavfall.no and chose a date. Please read the guide for more details before you book. For those without an internet connection, or access to a computer, please contact our service centre on 51 50 70 90.

After booking, a date for collection will be confirmed. The  waste must be placed at the roadside, preferably on your own property, at the earliest the night before the agreed collection day and no later than 07.30 on collection day.
