How to dispose of paper, cardboard, and cartons?
- Place your paper and cardboard waste in the designated bin.
- Break down anything that doesn’t fit in the bin. The lid must be closed when the waste collectors pick it up.
- Large amounts of paper are heavy. If the bin is too heavy (50 kg), the collectors may leave it unemptied for health reasons.
- Large quantities of cardboard and cartons can be collected upon request at hentavfall.no, or you can deliver them yourself to one of IVAR's recycling stations (pages are in Norwegian).

Recycled paper and cardboard are valuable raw materials. They are sent to paper mills in Norway or abroad and turned into new products.
