Fra Torget til Tårnet

Together with students, we want to explore urban space and develop our own tools for the artistic realization of what we perceive.

Locations

• Torget Stavanger (by the green gazebo and the wood stairs)
• Skagen 44 and *Valberget 17 (it is part of Open houses)

Time

24 & 25. april: Performances 1700 – 2100

26 & 27. april: Performances 1200 – 1600

The performances are played in a loop of 3 times a day, designed with an in and out flow between  Domkirken, Skansekaien and gamle kystruteskipet MS Rogaland.

Performances short description:

3 groups of 5 students

• Torget Stavanger: one performance Installation - direct audience participation - collecting citizens' impressions in poetic form under the gazebo.
• Skagen 44 - on the Skagenkeien : Site specific theatre about the history of the building through family interviews. The actors are inside and perform from the windows, terrace, cellar and entrance door.
• Valberget 17 - view the Valberg tower: the use of the place is inspired by photos from 1910.  We work on different perspectives from the water and towards the tower. Creation of an interview box and live music.

Byfesten er en heidundranes feiring av byen vår, fordelt på fire dager og på fem legendariske stavangersteder: Bjergsted, Domkirken, Skansekaien, Sølvberget og Tou. 

24. - 27. april fylles disse fem stedene med musikk, dans, teater og feiring. Se sidene for hvert sted for detaljert program.
